BENEATH THE EMBERS are illuminated perfectly by Lewis’ deft ability to unleash brutal verses and hooky choruses. Spencer Churchill drives the band’s pacy groove on drums. Clint’s ferocious Maiden/Metallica-esque riffery is aptly framed by the raw power and groove of the band’s exceptionally tight rhythm section with Q (Quentin Radburn) on rhythm guitar and Liam Gloster on bass. The wide-ranging influences from each member have bonded together to create a dynamic force. Lewis states: “It was pretty early on when everything clicked, and we knew we were really onto something.” The band wasted no time and were soon signed to independent record label, Metal Massacre Records, and began work on their debut EP.
